Healthy water we should drink and keeps us from aging

Image
I visited my friend in Cabanatuan City last week and she gave me a tumbler, it is not just an ordinary tumbler but it provides users with several important health benefits. It is called the The Alkaline Water Flask tumbler, it changes common water into making water to be alkaline, best result achieved with purified water. Alkaline water can neutralize the human body's acidic substances and keep balance of the body system. It is a strong anti-oxidant which removes free radicals, enhances the immune system and keeps us from aging. The energized water with small molecular cluster structure brings nutrients and more oxygen supply to the body cells providing the body with necessary micro elements and enabling every organ to grow healthy, and take the waste and toxins out from our body cells. If drunk for long term, it can resist oxidation and delay senility, it also can increase physiological well being build up health and improve the quality of life. Drinking this alkaline water for

Have a high regard for the Bit Players

Image
These people has an old streamer and newspaper with them during shooting and tapings, they rolled them on the floor and sleep on it during off takes. They are called the Vilma Santos or "The Bit Players" of the films and television. Every time we have shoot, I don't want to call them "extras," on the set or during our production meetings. It sounds not good to my ears and I find it degrading and disrespectful to them.  I prefer to call them "talents," they are part of our industry we need to show more respect for them and treat them equally. Plenty of the talents treat this job seriously to earn for their living and most of them are professionals (lawyers, teachers, business executives) at work. They need additional income to support their families and other white-collar pro just wanted to experience shootings and see our talented actors in person. I always show high respect for them the way their colleagues respect them in their respective fields.

Reasons why you should support Filipino independent and mainstream films

Image
It is so depressing how badly Filipino independent and mainstream film productions are treated in the Philippines. Even though Filipino films have audience watching in the cinemas, most of our Filipino films were pulled out by some operators and was replaced with Hollywood films after the first day.  This is not way to encourage local directors and producers to create more movies. This is also not the way to educate the local movie audience- they need variety in their choices. This is also not the way to help industry workers- they need to be able to put food on their families'tables. The all-business mindset of cinemas operators is killing the industry. We appeal to them to give the local films the chance to show them for one week and not pulled out after the first day or the first three days. I'm hoping that the new guidelines of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) for the theatrical release of films stating that the nationwide opening day w

Laglag or Tanim-Bala (Bullet-Planting) are happening again in local airports

Image
It draws my attention after reading an article on TripZilla site about a new incident called Laglag or Tanim-Bala (Bullet-Planting) by a Filipina passenger by the name of Kristine Bumanlag Moran at the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA). These cases were very rampant from 2010 to 2016 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City and other local airports. Here are the things to do to remind you once again while travelling abroad or to any local destinations. a. Locked your bag when you travel b. Keep an eye to officers hand especially in Philippine airports c. Make sure to wrap a plastic to your luggage before check in d. Watch your bags  on the monitor when passing through X-Ray scanner e. In case bullets found in your bag, do not touch them, call a lawyer to open your bag. I am hoping an urgent investigation  of officials, personnels, securities, immigration officers and authorities at our shameful airports. These incidents has contributed nothin

Why don't we recognize distinguished Filipino artists as National Artist when they are still alive?

Image
I don't understand why we don't recognize some distinguished Filipino artists as National Artists when they are still alive? Sometimes we just realize the importance of honoring them after death despite having contributed a lot of their talents that have gained national and international recognitions. Are we afraid to squeeze out from the government funds to support their monthly pension, health and medical benefits? Or maybe the university and political war between the comm ittee? For instance in the Film category, we have plenty of artists who have made a significant body of work -- they are already considered icons who have done over fifty or one hundred films (many of their work have made a mark globally) and have dedicated their whole life on making films. Shouldn't we have considered Mr. Eddie Garcia for a spot here? Having done over six hundred films in seven decades is not a joke! Why haven't we nominated or lobbied him during the previous National Artist i

The secrets of men revealed

The secrets of men revealed Men are always accused of telling lies by their girlfriends or wives. I've had a similar experience in the past so I know that this often leads to a lover's quarrel or, not to sound too melodramatic, even in the death of one or both partners. Men have a reputation of being cheaters, but evidence suggests not all of us are unfaithful to our partners. Most of us take relationships seriously—by making sure we avoid temptations. There are secrets about men that women should know in order to preserve their relationships and to have a shot at a better future together.                                                 Photo credit to Marriage.com Men Hate It When Partners Make False Accusations How many times have you been wrongly accused of doing something you didn't do? In an honest way, I will say I have been—twice, thrice, many times. It feels really bad when people put the blame on you even if you've not done anything wr

Celebrities National Costumes Fashion Show is Back

Celebrities National Costumes Fashion Show is Back  By Perry Escaño  The recent 2018 State of the Nation Address, Famas Awards and 2018 Mutya ng Pilipinas turned into a fashion parade of men and women in national costumes. Our male politicians looked dapper in their Barong Tagalog made from different materials like piña, jusi, abaca and Mindanao silk. The ladies drew positive reactions with their Filipiniana dresses that were draped, pleated, beaded or embroidered. The terno, a one-piece dress with butterfly sleeves, figured well in the event. This even prompted a national broadsheet to publish tips on how to best wear the terno. We want to share some of them here. 1 In September 2014, we organized the event called "A Night of the Stars: A Celebration of Philippine Barong and Filipiniana Dresses," which was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City. Celebrities  like Aljur Abrenica, Kylie Padilla, Valeen Montenegro, Rita
